Milan looking for a “balancer” in the middle of the pitch: three profiles in the sights

At Casa Milan we are not only thinking about strengthening the attack, but also the other departments. In particular, as regards the midfield, the club from via Aldo Rossi is looking for a “balancer”, i.e. a player who can restore a little more physicality and balance to the AC Milan midfielder which in recent years has seen the departure of three key players in this sense (Franck Kessie, Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic).

NEW NAME – The Rossoneri managers know well that Milan’s current squad lacks a midfielder with these characteristics to place in front of the defense and so they are working to give Paulo Fonseca an important reinforcement. As reported this morning Tuttosportthe names that are associated with the Rossoneri team are different: the latest in chronological order is that of André Trindade of Fluminensewhich has a rating of around 25 million euros (click HERE to read our preview from two days ago). The Brazilian, who is the player who has recovered the most balls of anyone in the world in 2023, has perfect technical and physical skills for what Milan’s needs are.

FOFANA AND WIEFFER – In the Devil’s list there are also two other profiles that are very popular and which the Rossoneri managers have had their eyes on for some time, namely Youssouf Fofana of Monaco and Mats Wieffer of Feyenoord. The two players have similar valuations: for the Frenchman, who has already decided not to renew his contract, it will not be possible to go below the 20 million euros to be presented to the Monegasque club, while the price of the Dutchman, for whom Milan has also kept contact alive in recent weeks, it is around 25 million.
