Mourning in the university and healthcare world, for the death of Simona Licani.
The young woman, who lived in Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata, was 40 years old, and worked as a social health worker in the Nephrology and Dialysis service of the Teramo Local Health Authority. He had been studying for a degree in nursing sciences for a year.
The health conditions of the young woman Oss fell in a few days. After an initial visit to the Sant’Omero hospital and when she was about to be discharged, she fell ill due to a suspected pulmonary embolism which required hospitalization in intensive care and where Simona never regained consciousness. The family gave the OK for the organ harvesting.
Lots of messages of condolences including that of the Rector of the University of L’Aquila, Edoardo Alesse, who in a note “on behalf of the entire University, expresses feelings of deep condolence and closeness to the family for the premature death of the student Simona Licani, enrolled in first year of the degree course in Nursing Sciences at the Teramo branch”.
The funeral will be held on Thursday 27 June at 10.30 am in the San Francesco Church in Garrufo.
