CATANIA – Throughout the month of July the Saturday (excluding July 13th) and the Sunday at 5:00 pm will take place at Villa Ceraminow home to the Department of Law, le guided tours by Officine Culturali to discover the history of one of the historic buildings of the University of Catania. On Saturday 13 July, guided tours will take place at 20:00 and 21:00.
Villa Cerami, an example of eighteenth-century noble architecture and Catanese Baroque, is located in the heart of the historic center of the city, at the northern end of Via dei Croferi and on the edge of the Antico Corso district. The current layout of the building is the result of various interventions that from the eighteenth century reach up to the mid-twentieth century with the contemporary restoration intervention.
The guided tours at Villa Cerami will allow you to retrace part of the history of the city and the University of Catania in a tour of noble architecture and lush gardens, thus discovering the courtyard, the rooms with precious vaults and the reception rooms. The tours at Villa Cerami will continue also during the month of August.
