Also this year the 4th F and 4th G classes participated in the “National Youth Award – Special Chemistry and Sustainability”, established by Federchimica, Assobase, PlasticsEurope Italia and the Italian Chemical Society.

Once again our little champions, led by teachers Monica Lauro and Roberta Pignatelli, have won prizes!

The 4th F and 4th G took first place in the Federchimica National Award in the “Basic Chemistry” sector, producing the interactive game “Ammonia Quiz”. They therefore won a prize equal to €2,440.00 for the purchase of technical-scientific equipment, books and teaching materials for the school.

Furthermore, they ranked 2nd in the Federchimica National Award in the “Plastic” section, with the video “Plastic is unbeatable when it is sustainable”. They therefore won a prize equal to €1,586.00 for the purchase of technical-scientific instruments, books and teaching materials for the school.

The “National Youth Award – Chemistry and Sustainability Special” aims to stimulate children’s curiosity and bring them closer to the scientific world, to understand the importance of chemistry for the quality of our lives.

The students enthusiastically joined the projects to participate in the Award, which were included in an interdisciplinary path included in the annual educational-didactic planning and which had the objective of discovering how basic chemistry can contribute to environmental, social and economical.

The Awards Ceremony for our students will take place on Friday 25 October 2024 in Genoa, during the Science Festival.
Once again, the school community proudly congratulates these very studious children and their excellent teachers.
