One of our readers wrote to us to report a problem relating to waste disposal:
“Good evening, I’m writing to you because I’m feeling very tired. After countless attempts to confer with an operator or speak to a manager, I would like to point out that as I’m disabled, I have difficulty disposing of waste with non-functioning bins, for which I ask for replacement, I’m talking about those in via Socrate. I can’t lift the lid without a pedal or handles! waiting says to leave a message but then you don’t get a call back.
Given the increase in the Tari, I would like an adequate service and I would like to express myself further on the flop of door-to-door collection which is unthinkable here in the area, a waste of our money for ridiculous tubs and paper bags which fly in bad weather or create a sort of of mush! I had made this known to Councilor Del Trecco at the meeting held at the Circus at the time. It would be better to have more ecological islands, even underground ones as in some northern European countries, instead of these ridiculous tubs seen breaking and floating with heavy rains! I thank you in advance if you will give voice to this report and I think I’m not the only one.
