VICENZA – A dramatic accident shook the A4 motorway stretch, between Vicenza Ovest and Vicenza Est, on the afternoon of Saturday 22 June. A car left the road, falling below the level of the asphalt. The accident, which occurred around 4.30pm in the direction of Venice, involved an Opel Corsa involved in a dangerous off-road vehicle.
Immediate emergency intervention
THE fire fighters, promptly intervened by the provincial command, worked efficiently to secure the vehicle involved. The driver, who was trapped between the sheets of the passenger compartment, was freed thanks to the use of specialized equipment. His condition immediately appeared worrying.

The Suem staff immediately provided first aid to the injured man, who was subsequently transported to the nearest hospital to receive the necessary medical attention. The traffic police and highway auxiliaries were essential in managing traffic and ensuring safety during the rescue operations, which ended approximately an hour after the arrival of the first aid.
