Laura Nargi’s final rally

Avellino is preparing to express its decision after an intense and often controversial electoral campaign. This evening, in Piazza Libertà, Laura Nargi held his last rally. Nargi, already part of the outgoing administration as deputy mayor, promoted a campaign centered on continuity and the challenges still to be faced. Despite the accusations of criminal conspiracy for the auction rigging together with the former mayor, she responded firmly to the criticism, rebuking the PD for decades of mismanagement which, according to her, brought Avellino to the brink of financial collapse. With the support of Rino Genovese’s Fatto Civico and the lists of Livio Appetito and Angelo Antonio D’Agostino, Nargi crosses her fingers for a result that confirms her commitment to a safer and more sustainable Avellino; rich in events, culture and tourism.

“Your love protected me from the mud. My competitor tried them all, even going so far as to call anyone. He called Schlein, he called Conte. I only needed the support of my people. You can’t go back thirty years. I am a strong, determined, passionate woman. I demonstrated it in this electoral campaign against everything and everyone”, is the last appeal that the candidate for mayor of the Municipality of Avellino addressed to her voters. “Now we must move forward together, for an Avellino that is even more alive, livable, innovative, inclusive, green. But also financial recovery, urban regeneration, environmental sustainability and urban decorum, identity, future, social inclusion through the strengthening of services for families, the elderly and people with fragility. And also equality, liveability, growth of local trade and innovation and… the new stadium. I ask you to take your pencil: on Sunday and Monday we will draw together the Avellino of the future, the Avellino of tomorrow. I will be the mayor of tomorrow. We have always only talked about programs. We have achieved high-level results, while on the other side there is a party divided internally, a self-referential party that has created distances between Avellino and the citizens. The people of Avellino no longer want this type of politics: they want less distance and people like me, who have always listened to everyone, who have worked hard and who have neither fathers, nor godfathers, nor masters”, she concludes.
