The Police Commissioner of the province of Barletta Andria Trani, Alfredo Fabbrocini, met the President of the Regional Federation of Mercy of Puglia, Gianfranco Gilardi, in the offices of the Police Headquarters in Via dell’Indipendenza.
The President expressed the maximum availability of the Federation, with its equipment, volunteers and vehicles to collaborate in the management of public order services, as well as in any delicate activity, especially in the field of “Safety and Security”.
The objective is to create a real partnership with the State Police family, combining the needs of security with those of protecting the community.
In the voluntary organization, in fact, for about three years, the operational sector of the Regional Emergency Area has been active which, in concert with the national one, has the task of planning and coordinating emergency and welfare activities regarding large events and maxi emergencies. Not only that, the Federation is in constant contact with the national structure, with which it shares resources and services outside the region.
The Police Commissioner, who on the occasion received the plaque from the Regional Federation of Misericordie di Puglia, had the opportunity to appreciate the great availability of President Gilardi and underlined the importance and need to strengthen the link with the world of volunteering.
