At the festival ‘International in Ferrara’, in addition to meetings, presentations, debates and screenings, it is possible to participate in one of the planned workshops on journalism, writing, comics, photography, podcasts and much more. The comic book author Zero limestone (in the photo by Francesco Alesi) will illustrate how comics can be a tool for talking about current events. The writer Veronica Raimo will explain the techniques for telling a story starting from yourself. Photographer Claudio Palmisano will show how photographic postproduction works.

The journalist Giulia Siviero, together with the writers Giorgia Bernardini and Elena Marinelli, will explain how feminism can be useful for writing about sport. The journalist Carlo Canepa will tell how to recognize incorrect information with fact-checking techniques.

To talk about how to create a news and current affairs podcast there will be the Simone Pierannithe focus on how to write a report is instead entrusted to Annalisa Camilli, while the workshop held by Alberto Puliafito is entitled ‘The map of artificial intelligences’. Unlike the festival events, the workshops are paid, last a total of 9 hours divided between Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October and are held in the classrooms of the University of Ferrara.
