At the end of the 2023/2024 Academic Year, the Modica Unitre held the previously announced meeting to take stock of the activity carried out and to discuss with the members the increasingly qualified role of the Association.
The works were chaired by Enzo Cavallo who, alongside the Secretary Orazio Frasca, reported on the commitment of the Board of Directors and on the operational strategies which, in the last year, have motivated and guided all the activity as a whole and through the many initiatives that followed one another and attracted the attention of members and those who joined during the year, helping to bring the Unitre back to pre-covid levels in terms of members.
The meeting aimed at taking stock of everything that has been done since last October and up to the closure served to highlight some weak points for which appropriate adjustments are needed.
“It was an opportunity for concrete and proactive reflection – underlined Enzo Cavallo – A meeting held in a family atmosphere to discuss and think about the activity carried out and to think about the following year and future initiatives. We have, with pleasure, recorded the intervention of many members ready to contribute to the growth, development and functional improvement of our Unitre”.
A meeting to take stock of the situation and look forward
It was also useful for the formulation of precise proposals that will be taken into consideration for the formulation of the program for the future year. It should be considered that before the meeting all the participants were given the company prospectus showing all the activities and all the initiatives carried out in the last academic year (3 workers, 10 courses, 23 “Unitre Thursday” conferences, choir activities, guided excursions to Noto, Morgantina, Aidone, Piazza Armerina and clubs, visits to Poland and Veneto).
A choice that allowed the president to focus, in his introduction, on general issues and on the need to have indications for the best organization and management of the Modica Unitre and for the identification of the premises of the operational headquarters of the association taking into account the increase in members and the fact that the Modica headquarters will have to host the regional coordination.
The president’s report was followed by a broad debate with a series of indications and proposals which will be subjected to examination and approval by the Board of Directors and the Members’ Assembly for the preparation of the program for the 2024-2025 academic year. The meeting was followed by a social dinner and karaoke entertainment.
“The association belongs to the members and that the activity carried out is the result of a convinced common will and of those who believe in volunteering not only because it is foreseen by the statute or because we are members of the Runts, but because it is, and remains, the “ compass” that orients and guides our activity and all our initiatives” concludes Enzo Cavallo.
