“Going to work is like going to the slaughterhouse”. The note from Italian Left on the serious injury occurred yesterday afternoon in the countryside of Latin, where an Indian citizen was dumped in front of his house after a machine cut off his arm. “A monstrous episode – comments Sinistra Italiana – which tells of the degradation of working conditions and the brutalization of the perception of what a civil society can be in our country and in our region”. Solidarity was expressed to the injured laborer and to the Flai CGIL of Latina.
“In our Republic founded on work – Sinistra Italiana writes – a worker of Indian nationality was dumped out of a minibus and in front of his house: a machine had cut his arm and caused other serious injuries. This is not work, this is barbarism, and where there is barbarism there is no right or dignity.
All our solidarity and support goes to the worker, we remain informed about his health conditions and we will be at his side to prove to him that civilization and humanity have not disappeared from the countryside of the province of Latina.
Our solidarity also goes to the general secretary of the Flai CGIL of Latina, Hardeep Kaur, who once again had to face the brutality of the conditions in which work was reduced”.
