In view of the ballot on 23 and 24 June, the Consumers Association CODICI Consumer Help Desk of Civitavecchia, led by Director Massimiliano Dr. Astarita, presented an open letter addressed to the mayoral candidates Marco Piendibene and Massimiliano Grasso.

The letter, which presents itself as an invitation to reflection and action, proposes a series of fundamental initiatives to improve the quality of public services and the protection of consumer rights in our city.

Among the proposals presented by the CODICI Association, the following stand out:

Appointment of a Consumer Delegate: An intermediary between Consumer Associations and the various managers responsible for public services, who guarantees the transparency and quality of the services offered to citizens.

Creation of CSP Service Charters: Resume work to implement local public service charters, ensuring they respond to community needs and ensuring transparency and accountability.

Establishment of the Municipal Council of Consumer Users (CCCU): A permanent table between the Municipality and consumer associations to improve the quality of public services and promote consumer rights.

Free spaces for Consumer Associations: Provision of spaces for training and information activities on citizens’ rights, financed with regional and state funds.

Memorandum of Understanding between Social Services and Consumer Associations: Support for citizens in need to access association services and debt relief procedures, guaranteeing free assistance or at a symbolic cost.

Implementation of the Tax Conciliation and the Tax Portal: Introduction of a municipal regulation on tax conciliation and the activation of the GEFIL Tax Portal to improve efficiency and transparency in the management of municipal taxes.

Director Massimiliano Dr. Astarita also underlined the importance of active participation of citizens in the ballot, inviting them to exercise their right to vote and thus contribute to the future of the city. He expressed his best wishes to the mayoral candidates, hoping that they will face this phase with a spirit of service and dedication to the community.
