POZZUOLI – Weekend of checks in Pozzuoli where the Municipal Police patrols conducted an activity of protection, control and fight against illegality from the historic center to the upper area of Arco Felice – Lucrino, through plainclothes patrols with unmarked cars assisted by uniformed patrols by order. During the checkpoints organized in the area and aimed at checking the documents necessary for road traffic, two drivers were fined for traveling with the vehicle without insurance coverage; they were charged €841.00 and the vehicles were subjected to administrative seizure for the purpose of confiscation; Minutes were also recorded for 3 vehicles that were circulating without the required periodic inspection and for 4 motor vehicles that were circulating without protective helmets.
ALCOHOL TEST – Furthermore, alcohol tests were also carried out using the breathalyser instrument supplied to this Command on five vehicle drivers, including a newly licensed driver, who was given an administrative sanction because she tested positive for alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 0.20 g/l. Finally, on Saturday night, a lounge bar activity was discovered where a dee jay was playing loud music without an acoustic permit and well beyond the hours permitted by the current Municipal Regulations; at the time of the intervention there were over 500 people present in the area used for the administration activity; the owner of the business was referred to the Judicial Authority and the area was immediately cleared. Further investigations are also underway to verify the urban planning and health and hygiene aspects of the area. Finally, in the historic centre, illegal street vendors were caught red-handed and fresh flowers sold in the area between the Port and the pedestrian area of Piazza della Repubblica were seized.
