Foggia, mourning in the publishing world: journalist Matteo Tatarella has died at the age of 84

Journalist, voice and editor, all roles of Matteo Tatarella, who died between 16 and 17 June in Foggia. The entire world of communication mourns the passing of a great figure, who worked in several of the realities of the city of Foggia: “Capitanata”, “Qui Foggia” and above all in “Il Quotidiano di Foggia e Bari”. Originally from Cerignola, his name is often linked to the figure of the two brothers: Salvatore Tatarella, MEP and former mayor of the center of Antino and Pinuccio, in the past minister and founder of the centre-right. His experiences with “Radio Foggia 101” and the private broadcaster “Videofoggia” should also be remembered. The provincial coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia, Giannicola De Leonardis, comments on the passing of the well-known publisher as follows:

«With the passing of the journalist and publisher Matteo Tatarella, Foggia and the Capitanata lose a historic figure in the world of information. Matteo Tatarella was a valid professional who, over the course of his long career, was able to be a point of reference through his multiple editorial initiatives in a period where print media, TV and radio represented the primary sources of information.”

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 4.00 pm at the church of Carmine Nuovo in Foggia.
