“From there we will leave for a bike ride of about 10 kilometers through the streets of the city center – he explains Stefano Stabiliniprofessor of urban planning at the Polytechnic and “guide” on the journey – We will tell details and curiosities of architecture and project stories known to most people, but we will also discover little-known pieces”.

From Luigi Vaccaro’s Collodi kindergarten to Galleana up to the Grattacielo dei Mille, passing through the Church of the Santissima Trinità (which will be open to visits, thanks to the collaboration of the Parish), the 12 stages of the Piacenza ArchiTour they are designed for students and teachers of the local Polytechnic branch and for all Piacenza residents curious to discover the most fascinating architecture of the city. A group of yellow t-shirts (which will be given to participants) will wander among those modern architecture projects that gave shape to the Piacenza we know today.

“The Tour is a sporting event of global importance, for the city it is an extraordinary opportunity for visibility and participation – he explains Dario Zaninelli, vice-rector of the Territorial Center of the Polytechnic – We can say that what will happen on July 1st contributes to strengthening the internationalization path that our University has been developing for years in Piacenza. This is why it was essential for the Polytechnic to participate, and we believe we have found a fun and innovative way to do so. We thank the municipal administration for its support for this initiative too, as for all those that form the Campus Cultura program which in recent months has brought hundreds and hundreds of people from Piacenza to our offices for cultural and artistic initiatives. For the Polytechnic, the relationship with local communities is central, as the rector herself, Donatella Sciuto, reminded us in recent days when presenting the Strategic Plan of the Polytechnic of Milan in Piacenza”.
