Conference at Palazzo Bonin Longare to present the hydraulic risk mitigation measure

The Municipality of Vicenza and the District Basin Authority of the Eastern Alps held a conference on Friday 14 June at Palazzo Bonin Longare for the presentation of the hydraulic risk mitigation measure.
The update of the Municipal Civil Protection Plan was also presented with particular attention to the ways in which the new measure will affect the management of flood risk in production and commercial establishments located in areas with hydraulic danger.
Secondly, the activity of the CO – Citizens’ Observatory on Floods in the Brenta – Bacchiglione Veneto area was presented, a community in which citizens collaborate with professionals and local authorities for the benefit of everyone’s safety with respect to flood events.
The collaboration requires citizens of the Veneto area of the Brenta – Bacchiglione basin to download the COapp application and use it for any reports on possible road flooding or on the conditions of the embankments or reports of local weather conditions. In this way, the data collected from citizens’ reports and from the technical and scientific community will make the models for monitoring flood risks in the area more effective.
