78 million euros for young farmers and innovation. This is what has been put in place by Agriculture Department of the Sicilian Region with the announcement relating to the intervention “SRE01 Young farmers settlement”.
The intervention includes support in the form of lump sum capital premium of 50 thousand euros in favor of young entrepreneurs, aged between 18 and 41, who for the first time are setting up at the head of an agricultural company located in the Sicilian territory.
The support is linked to the presentation of a “Business plan for the development of agricultural activity” which includes innovative business ideas also through sustainable approaches both in terms of the environment and in economic and social terms. The initial stages of settlement such as the acquisition of land, capital and knowledge are supported.
The applications for support can be submitted until 30 September 2024 through the portal of the National Agricultural Information System (SIAN), together with the Business Plan.
