(REGFLASH) Pescara, 13 June. – The financial allocation of the ERDF notice which finances productive investments aimed at business innovation rises to 45 million euros. This was announced by the councilor for Productive Activities, Tiziana Magnacca, after the approval of the provision which authorizes the scrolling of the list of beneficiaries for another 5 million euros. Published when the head of the economic development department was councilor Daniele D’Amario, the notice provides for a budget of 40 million; subsequently the Regional Council proceeded to find, within the 2021-2027 ERDF allocation, another 5 million which allowed the flow.

“The decision to increase the initial allocation of the notice – comments councilor Tiziana Magnacca – arises from the observation of the success of the notice itself which prompted numerous small and medium-sized businesses in Abruzzo to submit a request for contributions to start investment and production innovation actions . In this way – continues the Councilor for Productive Activities – the Region has decidedly chosen to meet the requests of companies, supporting and encouraging their need for growth and innovation of production systems, elements that increase the competitiveness of Abruzzo companies ”.

Specifically, the notice provides for the granting of contributions for the purchase of equipment and machinery for the creation of new products in order to support competitiveness. “Moreover – underlines Magnacca – the ability of Abruzzo companies to remain on the market is confirmed by the recent data for the first quarter of 2024 for exports which set an increase of 12.4%, given that it crystallises the desire for growth with investments both in the of production systems and in the field of human resources”.

The increase of 5 million euros in the initial allocation makes it possible to satisfy the requests of another 24 Abruzzo companies which are added to the 119 already financed thanks to the definitive ranking approved last December. It is worth remembering that, again within the scope of the 2021-2027 ERDF programming, the Abruzzo Region has already financed projects for 27 million euros with the notice “Support for research and innovation projects for the development of new sustainable technologies”. , admitting 73 small and medium-sized businesses to financing.
