(Sixth Power) – Ravenna – 12 June 2024 – “Today in Ravenna we experienced a historic moment of justice and law”: this is what the Forlì lawyer said Francesco Minutillo (in the photo above) defender of Mirko Santarelliformer head of the National Association of Arditi d’Italia and former organizer of rallies in Predappio, accused together with Domenico Morosinipatron of the private museum dedicated to Benito MussoliniVilla Carpena, of having violated the law Left-handed on the occasion of the commemoration of the fascist hierarch Ettore Muti which took place in front of the Ravenna Cemetery on 23 August 2020 complete with the “Present” ritual and Roman greetings.
“For the first time in Italy a Court of merit has applied the criteria dictated by the United Sections in the January sentence and acquitted the defendants of all charges. The right to commemorate our martyrs and deceased by following the fascist rite therefore takes a decisive step forward today”: declares the lawyer Minute author of the book: “Fascists also have rights”.
The acquittal sentence issued by the Ravenna court in the pre-trial hearing was pronounced by Dr. Antonella GuidomeiJudge of the Court of Ravenna, following the preliminary hearing, Public Prosecutor Silvia Ziniti.
“We managed not to even go to trial” he explains Minute “the Prosecutor’s Office had already abandoned the hypothesis of the law Scelba and had insisted only by proposing the violation of the art. 2 of the law Left-handed believing that the Roman greeting within the Rite of the Present constituted a symbolism of the Fascist Party and therefore of an association aimed at propagandizing and spreading racist ideologies. But for the crime to be included, it would have been necessary to demonstrate that the racist association still existed today. That is, here and today. But this was not the case, and, after the Supreme Court, a Court of merit also certified it.”
“With this professional satisfaction I cannot hide the fact that I also experienced a moment of true emotion, thinking and hoping that the season of judicial persecution against many, many, and first and foremost my client, who were often brought to trial only by for raising a prayer to heaven. Now we will wait for the reasons for the sentence which will arrive in three months. Then we will evaluate whether there are the conditions to call the pro-partisan association that wrote the complaint to compensate for all the damages suffered by my client. And not only. So that it is clear that from now on whoever has the courage to denounce those who perform the Roman salute during a commemoration, whether in Ravenna or Predappio or Acca Larentia, will do so in the reckless awareness of accusing an innocent person. And he will have to assume all responsibility for it”: concludes the lawyer Francesco Minutillo.
