Newspapers and televisions agree in stating, regarding the European elections just taken place, that while Europe veers to the right (meaning by right, at least in principle, “centralization” of wealth in the hands of a few, strong “competition” and decrease in social services), in Italy, where the Meloni government consolidates its right-wing forces, something new finally appears: the left (Pd and Green-Left Alliance) advances significantly in the votes and achieves a truly brilliant result.

My association ‘Implement the Constitution’, which is apolitical and non-partisan, is interested in underlining that this advance of the left demonstrates that the electorate, until now asleep and clouded by the pounding slogans of “less state and more market”, “market is beautiful”, and so on, it seems he is starting to open his eyes, listening to those who have leveraged, in electoral propaganda, the focal themes of the healthcarefrom the schoolof the lack of work, of the increasingly pressing economic constraints, of the misery, absolute and relative (ten million people in all) and so on. The words that I happened to catch were important, regarding the harmfulness of “privatizations” (to which must be added the need for state intervention in the economy) and the need to have business communities, common investments, collective subjects: in a word, the need for the “collective”, compared to the “individual”. In short, it seems that the left has clearly distinguished its politics from that of the right, bringing to the fore the real issue on which the right and the left must confront each other: centralization or distribution of wealth.

On a practical level, something is happening which, however, could block this start of dialogue: the very imminent approval of the bills on “differentiated autonomies” It is on “premiered”. I do not intend to repeat what has been repeated a thousand times about the end of the unity of the Republic, or about the balance of power. However, I am interested in reiterating that the two bills raise pure “lies” to the legislative level. As for the “lies” of the constitutional bill on the premiership, I refer you to a previous post of mine. For now I intend to dwell briefly only on the “lies” of the ordinary bill on differentiated autonomies.

Said bill is “lying” (fully violating art. 3 of the Constitution) where it gives the impression of “implementing” article 116 of the Constitution, according to which “further forms and particular conditions of autonomy” are attributed to the Regions, “concerning certain matters” , while attributing to the Regions themselves “the entire set of powers and functions” regarding these matters; is “lying” (always violating art. 3 of the Constitution), even where it “replaces” the “state law” (required by art. 116 of the Constitution, which it says it wants to implement), “approved by the majority absolute of the members of the Chamber” (which alone could protect the interests of all Italians), a bill of the Council of Ministers, to be transformed into an “ordinary law by simple majority” having as its object something different from what is required by the aforementioned art. 116, Constitution, i.e. the “approval of the agreements”, reached on an administrative level between Ministers and Regions, however without any possibility of entering into the “merit of the agreements” themselves.

As you can easily see, this is a bill devoid of legally valid content, and therefore “inadmissible”. A “scam” to the detriment of the entire Italian people, terribly cynical; and the result, it must be recognized, also of a particular legislative “cleverness”. All we Italians have to do is challenge it, asking the judge to send it, together with the related documents, to the Constitutional Court for its “annulment”.
