How does it work

In a completely digital way it will also be possible to have access to other information regarding drug prescriptions but also the types of allergies a patient suffers from. The convenience is being able to do everything from home, downloading what you need, without having to go to the clinic or your doctor again. Thanks to this new methodology, all the daily bureaucracy in the healthcare sector which requires the effort of thousands of workers will be significantly streamlined.

The words of the minister

The Minister of Health obviously also spoke on the subject, Orazio Schillaciexplaining that the electronic health record “it will have an important impact on the daily lives of citizens: it will simplify access to health services and help guarantee continuity of care wherever you are. The ESF is one of the greatest challenges pursued with the Pnrr Missione Salute and will help us create an efficient, less expensive system capable of providing timely responses to health needs, thanks to the homogeneity and interoperability of the data contained, guaranteed throughout the national territory”.

The words of the undersecretaries

The news was announced today by Alessio Butti, undersecretary to the presidency of the Council for Innovation, on the sidelines of the presentation of the new logo of the electronic health record – Fse 2.0, this morning in Rome. “The electronic health record already exists in several regions: our goal is to make it increasingly interoperable, a homogeneous health communication entity across the territory. We have taken the Regions by the hand with some additional difficulties to bring them all to the same level“. The undersecretary made it known that a first decree had already been issued in September 2023 to give the Regions the possibility of adapting to the national standard: the topic is now being dealt with by the Privacy Guarantor. “Then – he concluded – there will be a subsequent decree for the digital health platform, which will concern Agenas“.

The Undersecretary for Health also spoke about the important news that will affect millions of Italians, Marcello Gemmato, during the presentation of the new logo regarding the ESF 2.0. “Two of the main goals expected from the implementation of the Health Record 2.0 are appropriateness and homogeneity of care. The scenario is one of total anonymity of the data, with the possibility for the patient to prevent certain information from being accessible to third parties. Some critical issues have now been overcome following the findings of the Privacy Guarantor on the management of sensitive data. Today it is a true treatment and prevention tool, there is pride in being among the first in Europe“.

Subsequently Gemmato explained that you can do a search via one keyword for all analyzes that the patient has performed in

over the years”without having to open every single report and compare it one at a time. The data is anonymous. If he wants, the patient can decide to make it available only to the general practitioner“he stressed.
