“First of all, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 10,747 citizens of the province of Lucca who gave Forza Italia their vote for the European elections. The party did not have the growth we could have hoped for on the eve of the vote, but Forza Italia holds compared to the latest policies, and takes steps forward compared to both the regional ones of 2020 and the European ones of 2019”.
Commenting on the outcome of the European elections is Carlo Bigongiari, secretary for the province of Lucca of Forza Italia. “The result obtained in the province, 6.85%, is exactly equal to the result we obtained two years ago, in September 2022, for the elections which concerned the composition of the Chamber of Deputies.
In two years many things have changed, first of all the loss of the Leader and Founder of the Party Silvio Berlusconi who we want to remember today, one year after his death but evidently our electorate has remained faithful”.
Forza Italia’s trend, confirmed in the last two European elections, marks constant growth in recent years. “Compared to the last elections held in the province – explains Bigongiari – Forza Italia is growing regularly. A clear sign of the fact that citizens appreciate the work done and that the vote that is given entrusted to Forza Italia does not arise from the gut and is not subject to fashion of the moment. We are rising compared to the European elections of 2019, where Forza Italia stopped at 6.74%. And we are growing significantly compared to the last regional ones, those of 2020: then the party did not even reach 6 percent, stopping at 5.85%. “.
“We are pleased to underline how, where Forza Italia administers and citizens can see first-hand the good governance of the municipalities, the party does much better: this is the case for example in Pietrasanta where we obtained a good 8.48%. thus becoming like in Lucca the second party of the coalition. Finally, we want to thank all the people without exception who, with a spirit of service, made themselves available and involved in the various municipal elections that took place in our Province. From here – concludes Bigongiari – we must continue to work, to make our ability to administer territories and institutions well, with seriousness and competence, in short, the party is alive and well also in the Province of Lucca and ready to face the next upcoming electoral events”.
