(ANSA) – ROME, JUNE 12 – A sporting season to remember, concluded with a playoff with record numbers. The Carrarese-Vicenza final, played on Sunday, almost reached one million average viewers, with almost double the number of unique contacts. On SKY the reach was 847 thousand for the double final. An equally significant result for Now and for Rai, with the Vicenza-Avellino semi-final establishing the record on RaiSport, reaching – alone – one million contacts. The finals were also broadcast internationally by Rai Italia and Fifa+.
Thanks to these numbers, Serie C achieves a great objective: over 3 million attendances were recorded in the stadiums between the regular season and the Playoffs, where there was a net increase of 32 thousand attendances (+16%) compared to last year, with an increased collection of 824 thousand euros. Strong following on social networks with a clear increase in the playoff period compared to the previous month: +48.6% of impressions on Facebook, +33.6% of accounts reached on Instagram, over one million more views on TikTok and a increase of over 10 thousand followers on all major social platforms. They were the first Playoffs in the history of Serie C to be entirely carried out with VAR. A very important tool for the referee class thanks to the 241 episodes checked, with only one correction every 4.7 games. Finally, the “Play for Charity” initiative, in collaboration with Live Charity, was good: the balls from the first goals of the Playoff matches, autographed by the scorers of the match, and the shirts of the 8 finalists put up for auction, attracted great interest and about a thousand offers.
