Never has a theme been more suitable: Pitti Lemon, the heart of the advertising campaign and of the installations of the edition dedicated to the best of men’s fashion for spring summer 2025, once again confirms Tuscany as the epicenter of world fashion and offers a flash of creativity and liveliness which are well suited to the mood of an event that represents a powerful engine for the fashion sector and always wants to be so with greater vigor.

After a difficult year, 2023, for exports to the world, the Tuscan fashion system presents itself in 2024 with a reaction and relaunch strategy and Pitti Uomo confirms its growth path alongside the brands, representing for a ever stronger community. Also for the next season, companies in the fashion sector have chosen to concentrate resources and investments on Florence and Pitti which offers a unique and ideal context that is always evolving. We are proud of it, also thinking that all this happens in light of an excellent result achieved by Firenze Fiera which returned to profit in 2024 two years ahead of the Madia industrial plan. Not only that, Firenze Fiera, after the recent approval of the executive project of the new Cavaniglia pavilion, will be preparing to have a Fortress, with new exhibition areas and even more super-technological pavilions in the center of the city well served by public transport.

Energy runs on the wire, therefore. This is also demonstrated by the important investments that the Region makes in the professional training of young people, a key theme for the future of fashion. Tuscany is building the foundations for a new generation of talents in the fashion and leather goods sector, aiming to maintain its tradition, or rather, improve it, which can count on excellent workers. A heritage that is enriched thanks to the presence of strategic production districts and a chain of top-level suppliers.

I think of Florence, the beating heart of this industry, home to prestigious institutions and international design schools. I think of the Prato textile district which represents another example of excellence, despite the challenges posed by international competition, the flood and changes in consumption. The Tuscan fashion system, which employs over 39% of workers in manufacturing, is witness to continuous evolution, driven by innovation and the ability to adapt to market changes. And the Region supports local businesses through tenders that promote internationalisation, research and development, aiming to increase quality and enter niche markets.
