POMEZIA – by Manuela Mazzola – Record number of visits for the exhibition “Towards summer” of the Assopleiadiarte association, included in the project “Spring lights… Meeting with summer“, promoted and sponsored by the municipality of Pomezia.
Spring is the season of blooming flowers, it is the rebirth of nature after the cold of winter and coincides with the awakening of the planet, but it is also a metaphor for the awakening of creativity. The exhibition was a “choral” exhibition (thirty-one works including paintings and photographs) in the sense that each work had its own personal voice which, together with the others, made a particular contribution to the event.
The visitors, including the mayor of Pomezia Veronica Felici and the sculptor Massimo Manzowere accompanied by the painters, who welcomed them, in the magic of the lights, the warm tones, the scents evoked by the works.
Twelve artists participated: Marta Francario, Luigia Gabrieli, Cathy Kieffer, Ingrid Lazzarini, Aurora Mammone, Michele Martini, Maria Nicoleta Miron, Maria Antonietta Mosele, Aurora Pugliese, Maria Cristina Serra, Sonia Scognamiglio and Paolo Sommaripa.
Art today has an increasingly incisive role both at the level communicative and educational and has a positive impact on the social fabric involving all age groups.
Artistic expression allows us to give meaning to the surrounding reality, but also to the interior reality of those who produce it and those who observe it, providing moments of beauty and pleasure, promoting sociality and sharing.
At the end of the exhibition, the president of the association, Paolo Sommaripa, said: “We have had notable results this year, further strengthening our bond for art and its promotion, for the culture in our territory and for love of free and creative expression. The next goal will be to bring our art outside the city, taking into consideration the possibility of exhibiting wherever our possibilities allow us.”
