CATANZARO Election Day again also in Calabria. After the opening yesterday, polling stations are also open today for the European elections and the administrative elections, which in Calabria concern 132 Municipalities, 4 of which – Vibo Valentia, the only provincial capital, Corigliano Rossano, Montalto Uffugo and Gioia Tauro – with a population greater than 15 thousand inhabitants: you can vote until 11 pm, and then, after the polls close, there will be the counting, which will initially concern the European elections, and then, clearly tomorrow, the administrative elections. The voter must show up at the polling station with a valid identity document and electoral card. Anyone who does not have the latter will be able to request it, even today, from the electoral office of their municipality. For the European elections (HERE CANDIDATES AND LISTS OF THE SOUTHERN COLLEGE) the voter can draw a symbol on the chosen list even without indicating any candidate. You can vote for only one list. Up to a maximum of three preferences can be expressed next to the symbol, indicating the surname of the chosen candidates who must belong to the voted list. Separate voting which would annul the ballot is therefore not permitted. If you choose to express two or three preferences, these must concern candidates of different genders, so as not to cancel the second and third preferences. The electoral system is proportional; the threshold to participate in the distribution of seats is 4% of the votes at a national level. Voters will have a card available which will be of a different color depending on the constituency they belong to: orange, for electoral constituency IV – southern Italy (Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria). For the administrative elections (HERE CANDIDATES AND THE LISTS in the Calabrian municipalities in which they vote) the possible run-off round will take place on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th June.
