European and administrative elections: polling stations open today and tomorrow.

When you vote

From 3pm today, Saturday 8 June, we will vote for the election of the 76 members of the European Parliament belonging to Italy and to elect the new municipal administrations in 144 municipalities in the province of Brescia.

The polling stations will be open today until 11pm and tomorrow, Sunday 9 June, from 7am to 11pm. This evening at 11pm the first partial data on turnout will be available, the next surveys are scheduled for Sunday at 12pm, 7pm and 11pm .

As regards the administrative elections, the possible second round of balloting, which involves municipalities with a population exceeding 15 thousand inhabitants, will take place on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th June: the polling stations will be open from 7am to 11pm on Sunday and from 7am to 3pm on Monday.

In the Brescia area, there are five towns with more than 15 thousand inhabitants up for vote: for Montichiari, Ghedi, Lumezzane and Concesio, with two mayoral candidates, everything will be decided in the first round; while Chiari, with 5 candidates, could go to the run-off.

The counting operations will begin on Sunday at 11pm for the European elections and on Monday at 2pm for the administrative elections.

How to vote

In order to vote at the polling stations it is necessary to bring with you a valid identity document, the electoral card and any other necessary documents (such as the medical documentation essential for people with disabilities for assisted voting).
