Regional record

TERNI – Very high level and great results for the athletes at the Quintana Meeting in Foligno. Starting with Diego D’Inzillo Carranza who hits the minimum qualifying time for the Under 18 European Championships in the 2000m steeplechase. The middle-distance runner further improves the regional record that he had adjusted a few weeks ago in Bressanone, lowering it to 6:03.34. A long-awaited time which however still does not give the certainty of participating in the European category championships which will be held on 18-21 July in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, for which there are only two places available but it certainly represents an excellent viaticum also in view of the Italian championships in Molfetta at the beginning of July. Gabriele Pacelli also rejoices, his 24th place overall in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.03 is worth the minimum for the Italian category championships. In the same race Jean Marc Diomande 20th in 1:55.73. While in the women’s 800, Gloria Guerrini placed fifth with a time of 2:11.03 which confirms the time already obtained for the Qualifying Challenge for the overall Italian championships. In the same race Sara Diomedi improved her seasonal best by 2 seconds and with a time of 2:13.01, which was worth her tenth place overall, she achieved her second success ever. Sofia Marcucci improved her personal best, second in the 2000 Allieve steeplechase in 7:21.17. In the 400 meters, sixth place for Ange Bertin Poggiani with a time of 49.88, 13th for Samuele Cittadini in 51.80, 16th for Alberto Menichetti who set his new personal best with 52.24 and 35th place for Alessandro Giamminonni with a time of 55.41. In the 5000 meters Gianfilippo Grillo was 13th in 15:59.66 and Cristiano Tomassini 14th in 16:33.00. Luca Capoccia was third in the pole vault with a measurement of 3.00 metres.
