The ax on Pnrr funds, Tuscany loses eighty million. The numbers in the Pistoia area

Pistoia, 7 June 2024 – There are those has not lost a single euro of those which, in significant quantities, arrived from Pnrr and therefore remains in the rear bringing forward his own projects trying to respect the stringent deadlines that the great post-pandemic European-wide plan asks of the Municipalities. However, there are also those who, faced with different and more substantial incomes, see the blow coming. A cleaver which, for the province of Pistoia, amounts to a total of 815,892 euros from now until 2026 for our territory which falls within a much broader, and not very reassuring, framework of 80 million euros less throughout Tuscany in the space of two years. All this will be established by a interministerial decree which will put on paper the savings that the various municipal administrations will have to enter in the budget to remain within the overall accounts of the Pnrr funds, just two years from the famous 30 June 2026 when all the projects will have to be completed under penalty of recovery of the resources and the risk of finding ourselves with numerous cathedrals in the desert almost everywhere. This cut will almost certainly become a reality by the end of this month and will affect various sectors: there will be those who, perhaps, will have to give up a municipal police officer rather than the renovation of some public building, up to some digitization of public documents in less or less punctual social services.

Remaining firm on what could happen in our province, according to widespread estimates, the municipality that will suffer the most is the capital, or also the one that has benefited from the greatest funds from the Pnrr (just think of the 20 million for the entire sector of San Lorenzo not to mention the extraordinary maintenance of the schools, the citadel at Legno Rosso, the Ciclovia del sole for the Pistoia stretch and more): the cut, in this case, will be just over 280 thousand euros (281,567).

At the level of capitals, However, Pistoia it is the one that suffers the least (same figure also for Lucca) if you think about the more than half a million that he has to leave on the street Lawnas well as over 600 thousand euros in cuts Livorno to reach 3 million and 800 thousand euros in two years Florence. Returning to the numbers of the province, having said that a quarter of the total sum is taken by Pistoia, behind with 86,288 euros is Montecatini Terme before Quarrata with just over 73 thousand euros: considering the difference in inhabitants between the spa town and the furniture town, in favor of the latter, the cut for the administration of Viale Verdi is not insignificant (and in the first two places there are center-right administrations, so there are no excuses for double political ends either). Down from this podium, then, there is Monsummano Terme with 47 thousand euros ahead of Pieve a Nievole (44,573 euros, in proportion to the number of inhabitants, certainly the most affected entity), San Marcello Piteglio (38,955 euros) and Agliana (38,766) with the highest figure package closed by Montale with 34 thousand euros. From there we then move from the 24 thousand euros taken away to Serravalle to arrive at lower figures such as the 5,890 euros he loses Sambuca Pistoia. The only case where nothing is touched is Fish who will not have to give up even a single euro: a rather unusual overview even at a Tuscan level given that there are only six other municipalities in the same situation.
