PAVIA – Pdeparting on Wednesday 5 June from the San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital in Rome, the camper of the tour of the Italian Association of Heart Failure Patients AISC APS which will visit 14 cities, will reach the City of Pavia Treatment Institute on 11 June.

The national tour aims to intercept citizens in the area, to promote greater knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and encourage prevention activities.

The program.

From 9 am to 1 pm on Tuesday 11 June, therefore, Professor Colomba Falcone, head of the Cardiology Operational Unit of the City of Pavia Healthcare Institute, will be available to the population, inside an equipped camper, to carry out free electrocardiograms and cardiological visits.

“I always participate with enthusiasm in this initiative, an event that has been renewed for a decade now, a project that I share. By welcoming the AISC camper I am aware of offering the population of Pavia an important opportunity dedicated to prevention, a moment to take care of their health and to find out about cardiovascular risk” states Professor Colomba Falcone, head of the Cardiology Operational Unit of the City of Pavia Healthcare Institute and associate professor of Cardiology at the University of Pavia.

Heart failure affects over 1 million people every year and cardiovascular diseases cause the death of over 4.3 million people in Europe and are the cause of 48% of all deaths (54% for women, 43% for men ). Heart failure is the most common cause of hospitalization among those aged over 65 and will represent the third leading cause of death worldwide.
