Everything is ready for ‘Colico in Cantina 2024’: a food and wine journey between Lake Como and Valtellina.
The Pro loco Colico and the Colico in Cantina organizational committee are pleased to announce the eleventh edition of the most anticipated food and wine event of the Colico summer, scheduled for Saturday 15th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd June in the charming hamlet of Villatico. For this special edition, two itineraries have been designed, both of 7 wineries, which will lead visitors to discover two close but different territorial realities: Lake Como and Valtellina.
Focus on local economic realities
Enhance the territory and its excellence. This year, Colico in Cantina places a particular focus on local production realities, closely linked to the territory. Colico, in fact, represents the last town on the eastern shore of Lake Como and the gateway to Valtellina. A unique combination that is reflected in the food and wine offer of the event.
Visitors will be able to choose between two routes to discover the flavors of Lake Como and Valtellina.
Tour of Lake Como
The first route, dedicated to Lake Como, will allow visitors to taste the fine wines of the Terre Lariane, the IGT of the provinces of Como and Lecco, recognized from the 2008 harvest. This territory was historically planted with vines and praised for its vocation to produce wine. The production area of the grapes for obtaining the musts and wines designated with the typical geographical indication ‘Terre Lariane’ includes the hilly and mountainous territory near Lake Como, both in the province of Como and Lecco, and the hilly area of Montevecchia.

Tour Valtellina
A route exclusively dedicated to the Nebbiolo delle Alpi and its denominations, a circuit that will introduce the entire range of production of the Valtellina wineries to the ever-increasing number of enthusiasts who participate in the event. Seven tastings that describe the wines of Valtellina and the territory, seven stages where you can get to know and get excited about the quality of Valtellina wines and the beauty of the valley, rich in terraces and dry stone walls, which make it one of the most sought-after and interesting destinations for the numerous tourists from the world of national and international wine.
For the Valtellina route, in collaboration with the Valtellina Wine Protection Consortium, the following wines were selected:

The eleventh edition of Colico in Cantina promises to be an unmissable event for all wine and gastronomy enthusiasts. The two routes, immersed in the historic heart of Villatico, among scenic beauty and authentic flavours, will offer a unique and unforgettable experience.
The objective of the 2024 edition of the event is to create a dialogue between the centenary winemaking history of Valtellina and the more recent reality of the wines of the Terre Lariane. A combination of tradition and innovation that celebrates the richness and variety of the local wine heritage.
Access to the cellars
Access to the cellars. To access the cellars it will be necessary to have a pass, which will give you access to a route of 7 cellars for wine tasting, excluding restaurant service.
Passes can be purchased during all days of the event starting from 5pm at the sales point located in the Church square of Villatico at a cost of 22 euros. It will also be possible to purchase a ‘companions’ pass at a cost of 11 euros which will give you access to the cellars, but without wine tasting.
Once the maximum number of passes is reached, the ticket offices will be closed early, therefore we recommend purchasing pre-sale/skip-the-line tickets, available on the platform www.ciaotickets.com.
For the evenings of the event, a shuttle bus transfer service will also be made available, departing from the car park adjacent to the Colico Infopoint in via pontile 7, from 5pm.
The cellars will be open from 6pm to midnight on 15.06.24 and 22.06.24 and from 7pm to midnight on 21.06.24.
