News for haute cuisine on Lake Como: Materia, the Cernobbio restaurant led by chef Davide Caranchini and already awarded a Michelin star, is moving. Even if just a little.
The announcement – which with a clever social strategy complete with a “Materia closes” sign had even led to the hypothesis of a definitive closure – arrived yesterday 2 June. Here it is in full below:
It’s all true, the restaurant closes….but to reopen!
We are very happy to announce that after almost eight years, Materia will move to a new headquarters, still here in Cernobbio, in via Trieste 1/b, just 300 meters from our current location.
The space, designed together with the talented Emilia and Stefano of @vparchitects.design, will allow us to express ourselves at our best and make your experience even more special.
The opening is scheduled for Thursday 1 August 2024, while our last service at the current location in via Cinque Giornate 32 will be held on the evening of Sunday 14 July 2024. We will soon open reservations for August.
Everything we have accomplished would not have been possible without the special bonds we have built over time with our team, suppliers, artisans, friends and above all with you, our guests.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home.
