PONTECCHIO POLESINE (Rovigo) – From the Gruppo Progetto Democratico for the re-election as mayor of Pontecchio Polesine of Simone Ghirotto a second flat denial to the declarations of the PD candidate Michela Bacchiega.
“The desire to obtain media coverage with a stubborn presence in newspapers (READ ARTICLE) and on candidate Bacchiega’s social networks, forces us to respond again regarding the question of the alleged opening of a reception center in our country, and above all with respect to her “WE SAY NO”.

The presence of people intent on carrying out routine maintenance on a building is not a sign of the opening of a center for asylum seekers.
His statements are therefore opportunistic, tendentious and totally unfounded.
Wanting to respond on the merits to your questions posed in the press, i.e. whether the Mayor was aware of all this or not, we answer very simply: there was nothing to know, nothing to declare on the merits. The alarmism, which you deliberately created, is devoid of any concrete foundation.
The style lesson that the candidate says she does not accept from the Democratic Project Group must necessarily be re-proposed here. Part of the ownership of the building, which the candidate has repeatedly declared to have contacted, is too close to her politically. They seem to have opted for a perfect timing choice, right close to the election cycle. Are they just coincidences?
We remember, because they are values that we respect and do not exploit, one of his first public presentations, where he declared his great inclination to defend people, especially if in difficulty, by finding the right way to solve their problems.
Something must have obviously changed in the last few days. His “WE SAY NO” is the clearest expression of this.
Yet no Mayor, nor candidate for mayor, can “SAY NO”, because the decision is not up to them. It’s up to the Prefect, and you know it very well.
