Books and notes, summer returns to Villa Pallavicini

Sport, culture, entertainment but also the challenge of life as a couple, literature as a metaphor for life, the debate on freedom. Here is the fourth edition of LIBeRI, the literary review organized in the Parco Villaggio della Speranza of Villa Pallavicini which returns from tomorrow to 15 July, hosted for the fourth consecutive year in what Cardinal Zuppi called the ‘Citadel of Charity’. “We have chosen to begin on Monday 3 June, the anniversary of the death of Renato Dall’Ara, with an evening dedicated to the 60 years since Bologna’s last championship – explains Don Massimo Vacchetti, diocesan manager for the Pastoral Care of Sport, Tourism and Leisure – : Bologna’s exciting performance in the last championship will be the backdrop to an evening in which journalists Dario Ronzulli and Alberto Bortolotti will tell us the story of that incredible scudetto.” Ronzulli will present his 1964 photo story of a championship (Minerva), which collects the evocative images of Walter Breveglieri and the story through the eyes and emotions of the protagonists of that year. Bortolotti, however, will accompany the public on an ideal bridge between Bologna’s ‘first time’ in the European Cup, with the historic play-off against Anderlecht lost due to the coin, and the magnificent qualification for the Champions League achieved this year . Bologna 60 (Gianni Marchesini editore) also collects many testimonies from Bologna fans. With them on stage will also be Guglielmo, a young singer-songwriter from Bologna who dedicated his latest single Tutto rossoblu to the rossoblu’s performance.

We then continue on Monday 10 June with Daria Bignardi, author of the book Every prison is an island (Mondadori) and Don Claudio Burgio, founder of the reception community for minors and services for adolescents ‘Kayros’, who will discuss all aspects with Matteo Zuppi on prison, freedom and education. Wednesday 19 June will be Franco Nembrini’s turn: the teacher and essayist will present The Adventure of Pinocchio. That is, re-read Collodi and discover that he talks about everyone’s life (published by Centocanti) while on Friday 28 June the spotlight will turn on Costanza Miriano who will talk with the president of Acli of Bologna, Chiara Pazzaglia, on the work Benedetto il giorno che we were wrong. Marriage maintenance manual (ed. Sonzogno). Then on 10 July there will be space for the theater remembering Guglielmo Marconi. For the occasion, Giorgio Comaschi will transform the stage of Villa Pallavicini into a time machine that will lead the public to discover the scientist’s story. Grand finale on July 15th with the writer and theologian Don Luigi Maria Epicoco and his Where earth and sky meet (Mondadori).
