BASSANO DEL GRAPPA – Tadej Pogacar he won the penultimate stage of the Giro d’Italia, the 184 km Alpago-Bassano, by a distance, gaining his sixth victory in this edition of the race and locking up the pink jersey, if ever there was any need. A Monstrous Pogacar he also pulled away from everyone in the tough Monte Grappa stage. On the Semonzo climb (18 km to be covered twice, average gradient of 8.1%, with peaks of 14%) the Slovenian champion caught Pellizzari in a solitary breakaway, separated him about 4.5 km from the top and he flew downhill towards the finish line, pedaling with surprising ease. It is estimated that over 100,000 fans attended the race. Tomorrow the grand finale in Rome.
