NAPLES – The CGIL Abruzzo Molise present at the national event “La Via Maestra” underway in Naples, with over 700 people from the two regions. The initiative is promoted by the national coordination which includes over 150 associations and movements, including the CGIL. The union representatives from the two regions left for Campania on specially organized buses.

The demonstrators are in the streets “for an Italy capable of a future, for a just and supportive Europe”. The procession, whose concentration was scheduled for 1.30 pm in Piazza Mancini, marched through the streets of Naples up to Piazza Dante, for the final speeches from the stage.

“The CGIL – states the secretary of the Abruzzo Molise union, Carmine Ranieri – is implementing an extraordinary campaign for the popular referendums ‘I’ll sign for work’. We are here in Naples to demonstrate for the rights and defense of our Constitution, for work and safe work, real priorities in our country, and against differentiated autonomy and the reform of the prime minister”.

“The Constitution – we read in the appeal released today by ‘La Via Maestra’ – continues to be our political program: for democracy, for peace, for the climate, for social justice, for decent work, to give a sustainable future for this country.”
