Conclusion of the Project – During the entire day of May 22nd, the Trinci Palace in Foligno hosted the final event of the “La Via Flaminia Antica” project, promoted by the UNESCO Club of Foligno and Valle del Clitunno and aimed at schools. Around 150 students, accompanied by their teachers and school directors, participated in this significant initiative.

In the suggestive atrium of Trinci Palace an exhibition was set up which displayed the project works created by the students during the year. In the Faloci-Pulignani room, however, videos and PowerPoint presentations of the work carried out were presented. Professor and archaeologist Maria Angela Testa introduced the day, then passing the floor to Dr. Franca Rossi of the Club’s board of directors. Rossi thanked those present and explained the motivations and inspiring principles of the project, coordinated by herself and aligned with the goals of the 2030 Agenda.

The idea for the project came from president of the Club, the engineer Maurizio Biondi, and the architect Alfiero Moretti. The project was drafted by Professor Emanuela Biagetti, who in her speech underlined how the objective was not only to explore the history of the ancient Via Flaminia, but also to tell the story of the life that developed along its path.

Doctor Anna Pistoletti, representative of the Regional School Office for Umbria, highlighted the importance of the project for the creation of a network between the participating schools, the adoption of laboratory teaching methodologies and the collection of documentation that preserves the historical memory of the territory.

The project works were presented by the teachers and the students themselves, the true protagonists of the morning.
