A period of sunshine on Sunday, more rain from Monday

ROME, MAY 25 – After a Saturday of unstable weather, with thunderstorms moving from the North towards the Centre-South, a period of sunshine is expected on Sunday and the rain will return on Monday. This is indicated by the forecasts of the meteorologist Mattia Gussoni, of the website www.-, who notes that in the first 24 days of May, 20 were rainy in the North. In the next few hours, we read in the note, thunderstorms are expected across the entire peninsula, due to the presence of fresh and unstable air at altitude. In the North, “more continuous” rain is expected, while “showers alternating with clear spells” may move from the Tyrrhenian side towards the Adriatic. Temperatures are expected to drop due to cloud cover with a maximum of 27°C in the South and 19-24°C in the Centre-North. Sun and heat are forecast for Sunday, except for thunderstorms which could move from the central-southern Apennines to the adjacent plains in the afternoon. From Monday evening the instability that is characterizing May 2024 will manifest itself with a new disturbance arriving from Scotland: heavy rains are expected in the North-West, which may extend across the entire peninsula on Tuesday 28th. In detail: Saturday 25th: unstable weather in the North with showers also in the plains; at the Temporal Center on the Adriatic Regions; in the south scattered showers arriving from Sicily towards the rest of the south. Sunday 26th: good and warm weather in the North; sunny and warm in the Centre, except for thunderstorms in the L’Aquila area; to the south scattered showers, especially in the mountains. Monday 27: worsening in the North starting from the North-West: sunny and hot in the Centre; in the sunny and warm South.
