– LAMEZIA TERME (CZ) – 25 MAY 2024 – A musical journey of great charm closes the musical season of LOVE Calabriadirected by Francescantonio Pollice. The Eridano Quartetcomposed of Davide Torrente And Sofia Gimellion the violin, Carlo Bonicelliviola, and Chiara Piazzaon the cello, tomorrow, Sunday 26 Mayat 6.00pmwill perform in Foyer of the Grandinetti Municipal Theater of Lamezia Terme.

«We wanted to propose for this last appointment – declares the artistic director Francescantonio Pollice – one of the most important string quartets of recent years. AMA Calabria has always paid its attention to young people who are coming to the fore in our country.

A proposal that will certainly be much appreciated by our public”.

Able to highlight different moods, colors and emotions, the four musicians during their performances showcase extreme care in the arrangements of the chosen songs, thanks to the distinctive character of each member and the fluid and expressive interpretations.

The Eridano Quartet, since their formation in 2016, they have stood out for their constant evolution, which has put them at the center of attention in the panorama of Italian classical music.

In the Lamezia Terme concert they will perform the “Quartet no. 32 in C major, op. 20 no. 2″ Of Franz Joseph Haydn and the “String Quartet n. 8 in E minor, op. 59 n. 2 “Razumowsky” Of Ludwig van Beethoventwo compositions of great charm.

Haydn’s quartet can be considered one of the gems of musical Classicism; the work, which is among the famous “Quartets of the Sun”, demonstrates the mastery with which the “father of the string quartet” combines formal elegance and expressiveness; a work that shows refinement and elegance typical of the period but which at the same time is dynamic in the dialogue between the different instruments and in the presentation of the themes.

«Listen Haydn declares the violinist Davide Torrente – in our opinion it is like entering into an intimate and brilliant conversation, typical of “chamber” music, where each instrument contributes to the dialogue with balance and harmony while maintaining its identity and unique voice”.

Equally famous is the “String Quartet n. 8 in E minor, op. 59 n. 2″ by Beethoven, the second of the three “Razumovsky Quartets”. «In our opinion this quartet represents a milestone in the evolution of chamber music, presenting a complex structure and a powerful emotional charge, typical of early Romanticism.

It is a work in which the composer pushes us to listen to new expressive dimensions, presenting moments of very delicate introspection – as in the second movement, where Beethoven himself urges the performers to treat “this piece with a lot of feeling”. A song that will reserve explosions of pure energy at the end”.

The components of Eridano Quartet they will show off that they possess impeccable technique and a depth of emotion that is felt all too rarely.

This is the characteristic that makes each of their performances amazing and which will not fail to leave a mark on the audience.

It will be possible to attend the concert of Eridano Quartet with the subscription subscribed for the year 2023-2024 or with the purchase of the entrance ticket on sale before the concert.

The concert is organized with the support of the Mic General Directorate of Entertainment, the Region and the CIDIM as part of the project Young Italian Musical Talents in the World proposed in collaboration with the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and the International Foundation Accademia Incontri con il Maestro of Imola
