Five things to do in Messina this weekend

Messina is preparing to face a weekend in which there will be no shortage of various types of events: from shows to DJ sets, from the May of Books initiatives, now almost over, to the great return of the Messina Vinyl Fest.

On Sunday, at Sunset of Mortelle returns for its fifth edition Messina Vinyl Fest, the event dedicated to the world of disco. The initiative is promoted by the newborn Vinyl Fest Cultural Association and includes a rich program, starting from 10am to 8pm.

The Sicilian DJ and designer opens the dance Bluemarinawith one of his DJ sets featuring tribal rhythms, broken beats and popular songs.

Red Nose Day: in Piazza Cairoli between solidarity and entertainment for adults and children

On Sunday 26 May, Piazza Cairoli will be among Italian squares animated by the annual event with Red Nose Day, organized by the street clown volunteers of VIP Italia ODV.

From 9:00 to 20:00, the VIP MESSINA clown volunteers will be in the square with games, dances, face painting and comedy shows. Throughout the day, various play stations were organized to entertain adults and children, art workshops and an information point.

During the Red Nose Day, a fundraiser will be carried out to support the training courses for the clown volunteers of the federated associations, the missions organized in developing countries, the projects to be carried out in schools and to help us spread, among the opinion public, the knowledge of clown therapy and the philosophy of “Viviamo In Positivo”, at the basis of the values ​​of VIP Italia ODV.

Since 2004, VIP Messina volunteers have been serving at the Papardo Hospital in Messina in the Paediatrics, Plastic Surgery and Internal Medicine departments and also in other social and healthcare facilities such as the “Collereale” Hospitality Center in Messina. There have been numerous collaborations with ADMO – Bone Marrow Donor Associations, Telethon Foundation and with other institutions in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME) where our volunteer presence was requested.
