The Democratic Party and the Young Democrats of Marsala are mobilizing to collect signatures on the minimum wage, to talk about public health and European elections. The initiative took place today, in Piazza della Vittoria from 7pm to 11.30pm.
“In line with the battles that the national secretary ELLY Schlein is carrying out, one year after the Meloni government’s decree which spells work and reads precariousness – say Riccardo Patti, Secretary of the Young Democrats, and Linda Licari, member of the provincial secretariat and coordinator of the online PD club Nilde Iotti. – In the hours in which the Meloni government wants to please with the 100 euro tip on the paycheck in January, yet another one-off instead of structural measures that improve the quality and dignity of work. While all the research institutes tell us that poor work is increasing and that it is plunging families into absolute poverty. The PD wants to relaunch and is mobilizing. With the Five Star Movement and the Green and Left Alliance, the text of a popular initiative law for the legal minimum wage was filed in the Court of Cassation. We return to the streets with stalls to collect signatures. Because under 9 euros it’s not work, it’s exploitation.”
