Palermo captain Matteo Brunori comments in the mixed zone on the match against Venezia which ended 2-1 for the lagoon players. The second defeat in the double match against the Venetians allowed Vanoli’s team to secure a pass for the Serie B playoff final: “There is so much sadness and disappointment, we tried until the end and it wasn’t enough. We met a strong team that deserved to be on the pitch.”

“We felt the support from everyone, from our people but it wasn’t enough – adds the attacker -. The pitch always speaks, I’m proud of my teammates because we gave everything until the last minute. We wanted to try to achieve a feat here, but Venezia deserved it on the pitch and I congratulate Vanoli’s team. They have shown that they are more ready at this moment.”

Brunori left early due to a physical problem: “I was already a little bruised, my adductor was full and I felt it hardening. That’s why I stopped. What to say to the Rosanero fans? There is little to say, they have always shown enormous affection towards us. When things didn’t go well during the year they were always there for us, they can only be praised”, concluded Brunori.
