“The government’s tightening of super bonuses is worrying”

Grosseto. Luca Grechi, head of the construction sector of Confartigianato Imprese Grosseto, expresses concern about the amendment to the conversion law of Legislative Decree 39/2024 which provides a squeeze on superbonuses.

“The introduction of the obligation to dilute the credits accrued for superbonus interventions over 10 years, instead of 4-5 as previously envisaged, with retroactive application of the measure, starting from 1 January 2024, represents an element of strong criticality for companies in the construction sector – he claims Luca Grechi –. Those who legitimately applied the invoice discount to their customers will find themselves with a lower cash flow than planned. And, despite boasting credits from the treasury, they will be obliged to pay taxes and contributions. For a sector short of liquidity such as the construction sector, all this translates into the risk of work being blocked.”

The deductibility over 10 years of expenses for interventions with the Superbonus concerns an amount of usable deductions equal to almost 12 billion between 2024 and 2025.

The measure will lead to an increase in unpaid debts and the application of consequent sanctions – he adds Luca Grechiputting the entire home sector in serious difficulty with consequences not only for construction companies, but also for related industries.”

“Stand then the principle of retroactivity passes – he concludes Greeks –, Who can guarantee that the same does not happen on other measures? All of this risks increasing the distrust of businesses and families towards state bonuses and their reliability over time.”
