The “Summer Hobby Exhibition” kicks off in San Giorgio su Legnano organized by the Socio-cultural Hobbyists Club, which will be open to visitors in the association’s laboratory in the town hall from Saturday 25 May to Saturday 1 June from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 6pm during the week while it will be closed on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

«In this exhibition that introduces summer, visitors will be able to learn about some of the themes dear to the club’s members: collecting, art and craftsmanship – explain the organizers -. This year too we wanted to reserve an important space for the theme of collecting, offering older guests to retrace the years from 1946 to 2000 through the collection of paper money by Graziano Bersan. But the theme of collecting will not end with this premiere
exhibition, because Giordano Barbieri will show an original collection of Crown Caps (obviously by the author), while Emilio Masetti will enrich the exhibition by presenting a collection of advertising postcards (when postcards were still written) alongside this one a collection of minerals and rocks of exotic origin. And the artistic touch represented by the could not even be missing bas-reliefs made of thin metal foil (copper, brass, aluminium) by Claudio Bobbi”.

«Aware that the choice of these first themes certainly cannot exhaust the presentation of the complex world of hobbies – add the organizers -, we wanted to enrich the 2024 exhibition also by presenting a new area of activity recently developed by the Club: the Sewing & Embroidery Group. A part of the exhibition spaces will therefore be dedicated to the creations and creations of this group of people who, starting from January 2024, attend weekly “business meetings” producing… but we leave the pleasure of discovery to visitors”.
