Castellammare – Proximity: «Enhance agri-food products to create the Grande Stabia»

The mayoral candidate: ”The Schito Gardens Park as a redemption of identity and to defend our local productions”

“Our vision of the Grande Stabia also passes through a project of valorisation and defense of our agri-food excellence. I am thinking, for example, of the violet artichoke of Schito, for which we must immediately start the process for the recognition of the De.Co ., the Municipal Designation, which will give even more value to this production. This intervention is part of a broader plan which will concern the entire area located north of Castellammare di Stabia” – declares Luigi Vicinanza, candidate for mayor of the centre-left in the next local elections. on 8 and 9 June, during the meeting with the deputy and president of Azione, Mara Carfagna; the regional councilor, Luigi Cirillo; and the citizen coordinator of Action, Vincenzo Ungaro.

“The city of urban parks aims to transform our neighborhoods into meeting and connection areas, as well as into areas of production and development. With this objective, we intend to give shape and substance to an urban regeneration operation, which will involve in particular that which we want to rename as the Schito Gardens Park. Here we want to encourage and support agricultural production, from carci

ofo to beans, from tomatoes to vegetables. Furthermore, we want to complete the building amnesty process and, using the recovered funds, build roads, infrastructure and signage” – explains Vicinanza.

“Our objective is to transform the Schito area into a widespread agro-tourist village, thus increasing the number of beds in the city without consuming new land and identifying a new target of attractiveness. In this way, not only will we be able to revitalize and relaunch a ‘strategic area for the city, but we will also encourage a process of urban regeneration, restoring the right value to those properties” – continues the centre-left mayoral candidate.

Finally, Luigi Vicinanza highlights how this project not only represents an enhancement of the agri-food heritage, but also an important step towards environmental sustainability and the creation of new economic opportunities. “By combining tradition and innovation, we can build a more prosperous and inclusive Grande Stabia, capable of attracting visitors and investments, while improving the quality of life of our citizens” – concludes Vicinanza.
