Operation of the Flying Squad of the Avellino Police Headquarters

The Flying Squad personnel of the Avellino Police Headquarters arrested a 33-year-old AGR man, found in possession of a narcotic substance. In particular, as part of the services planned to combat drug dealing, the agents of the Flying Squad proceeded to check a person originally from Monteforte Irpino (AV) suspected of possessing narcotic substances for sale to third parties.

The subsequent search revealed approximately 800 grams of narcotic substance presumably of the hashish type and 211 grams of the marijuana type, substances contained in several cellophane bags, some hermetically sealed. In the same context, precision scales and objects for packaging doses were found and seized, as well as the sum of money in banknotes of various denominations for a total of €3,750.00.

Subsequent investigations, using “narcotests”, carried out at the Scientific Police laboratory, confirmed the suspicions on the nature of the seized substances. Considering the significant quantity of narcotic substances found, the tools for weighing and packaging, the division of part of it into doses, elements which allow us to lean towards the destination of the drugs to third parties, AGR was declared under arrest. Notification of the arrest was given to the PM on duty of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Avellino, who arranged for the arrested person to be placed under house arrest, pending the setting of the hearing to validate the arrest.
