REGGIO – The delivery of the San Giorgio D’Oro to the Master of Labor Giuseppe Germanò at Palazzo Alvaro

The celebratory ceremony of the new Reggio Masters of Work took place in the Perri room of Palazzo Alvaro. During the event, presented by the Metropolitan Consul of the Masters of Labor Nicola Morabito, the Mayor of Reggio Calabria, Giuseppe Falcomatà, presented the San Giorgio D’Oro to the Master of Labor Giuseppe Germanò. Also present was the municipal councilor for Education Anna Briante, for the audience of young students from the institutes Montebello Jonico-Motta San Giovanni, Panella Vallauri of Reggio Calabria, Ipsia of Siderno-Locri with their respective directors, professors Margherita Sergi, Teresa Marino and Gaetano Pedullà and a delegation from ITT Panella-Vallauri.

The new Masters of Work from Reggio Calabria are Demetrio Bonio, Caffè Mauro company of Villa San Giovanni, Catena Laurendi, Hitachi Rail of Reggio Calabria and Domenica Giuseppina Morano, Trenitalia of Rosarno, whose commitment and professionalism in the world of work to achieve high levels of professionalism and human and social growth.

Mayor Falcomatà, in his speech, highlighted the importance of continuing the synergy with the National Federation of Masters of Labor for a traditional event, hosted within the institutional rooms. A day that celebrates the contribution of the masters of work, people who, for over 25 years, said the mayor, have served within an institution, a company, distinguishing themselves in various fields.

The mayor highlighted the Federation’s commitment carried out with schools and children precisely because the masters of the work know the sacrifice that lies behind having to honor the work with passion, dedication, competence, confidentiality, ability, sacrifice, leaving aside the personal affections. Work does not mean shortcuts, recommendations, preferential routes but chasing your dreams, not being discouraged.

Councilor Briante underlined the importance of the activity carried out by the Association to bring young people closer to the world of work since many times the connection with schools is missing. Leaving school you end up diving into the world of work without having clear ideas about what you want to do.
