Rotterdam – The three-day BreakBulk Europe event in Rotterdam has ended. the most important international event of the year for the business of various goods and plant engineering traffic, of everything that does not or cannot travel in containers.

In recent weeks we have seen and read how much attention has been re-placed and placed on this port function, parallel to that of containers, in the Ports of La Spezia and Marina di Carrara, attention confirmed by the presence in force in Rotterdam of the operators of the two ports who, under the aegis of the Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea, have developed scheduled and unscheduled meetings with European sector operators.

Therefore, representatives of the two terminals of the Port of La Spezia, Lsct and Tarros, and of the Port of Marina di Carrara, Perioli, were present in Rotterdam, together with the Secretary General Federica Montaresi. Grendi and FHP.

At Amsterdam airport we reached Michele Giromini on his return to Italy and we found him particularly satisfied with the balance of the presence of the port operators of La Spezia and Marina di Carrara in Rotterdam.

“These have been intense and positive days – he confirmed to us – for all our representatives who, together with the Port Authority, have had the opportunity to start, above all, new business contacts, as is the aim of BreakBulk Europe, with practically all the countries of Northern Europe which with the Mediterranean are the two central poles for ports and logistics”.

And on the Mediterranean did you have the feeling or something more that the attraction is growing?

“It is certainly growing and I have been able to see it both from a general observation and from the meetings we have had as terminal operators. We have all been very active in proposing new businesses for our companies which practically cover all the maritime lines between Italy and North African countries but also the other border countries. Yes, I can affirm that the centrality of the Mediterranean was felt strongly in Rotterdam in the search for development of various goods traffic for which our system – Port of La Spezia, Port of Marina di Carrara and inland port of Santo Stefano Magra – integrates perfectly .

Michele Giromini was echoed in its communication channels by the Tarros Group, which confirmed: this year too Rotterdam was an excellent opportunity to meet customers from all over the world and create new business opportunities thanks to our commercial team coming from all over the Mediterranean.
