Interporto Trieste closes the 2023 budget with growth

TRIESTE – The shareholders of Interporto di Trieste spa approved the 2023 financial statements, closed with a profit of 442 thousand euros and a production value of 10.7 million.
The growing values ​​compared to the previous year (369 thousand euros and 9.2 million) “represent the club’s best result ever despite growing geopolitical tensions” we read in a note.
The assembly also appointed the new Board of Directors, which will remain in office until the approval of the 2026 budget. Paolo Privileggio was confirmed as president.
The 2023 results were obtained by moving 360,594 tons of goods (360,795 in 2022), 30,301 Teu (28,752 in 2022) and setting up 485 intermodal trains and general cargo (366 in 2022). The traffic of heavy vehicles (over 117,000 passages) marked an increase of 1.4% compared to the previous year, despite the elimination of vehicles coming from Russia and Belarus.
Also in the 2023 financial year, the growth trend of Interporto’s logistics activity in the FREEeste area (in Bagnoli della Rosandra near the Wartsila factory) is confirmed, which exceeded 70% of the total volumes managed against 54% of the the previous financial year.
Also confirmed growth trend of the subsidiary Interporto di Cervignano spawhich closed the 2023 budget with a production value of 5.43 million euros and a net result of 455 thousand euros, up by 41%.
