The Parco dei Colli di Bergamo Fair, now in its twentieth edition, returns to animate the Valmarina valley and its former Benedictine monastery, on the outskirts of the city of Bergamo, next Sunday (26 May).
Also in this edition, the agricultural companies that operate in the park area will be the protagonists. The appointment is from 9.30 to 18.30 with animal displays, agricultural market stands with typical zero kilometer products and workshops. Among the initiatives, at 10 am, also the Alpine brown breed competition. Then, at 12pm, milking demonstration and awards ceremony at 3.30pm.
Workshops and guided tours will season the day
The day continues at 4.30pm with the taste laboratory entitled “Biodiversity and sensoriality” proposed by Slow Food; the protagonists are the honeys produced by Jessica Zanni from the Mandragora farm paired with a wine (yet to be discovered) and the local supply chain bread, created by the Aspan project. To participate in the workshops, even if they are free, it is preferable to request a reservation at [email protected].
At the same time, 4.30pm, Caravan Orkestar will entertain those present with their music. The guided tours are not to be missed: at 10.30am and 3pm you will discover the former monastery of Valmarina, lasting an hour and a half. At 3pm, however, visit to the Valmarina forest, for a total duration of two hours.

Activities and workshops will be offered throughout the day for both children and adults. Among these, saddle baptism, botanical cosmetics and environmental workshops also conducted by the GEV, the voluntary ecological guards. Like every year, a bar and refreshment service is also provided. For those coming by bicycle, Fiab Pedalopolis will provide a bicycle assistance service.
The invitation is, in fact, to reach the area on foot or by bicycle. By public transport, however, it is possible to take Atb Line 9 to get to the former monastery. However, there is the possibility of parking with access from via delle Primule, with limited spaces. The event, the organizers say, will take place even in case of bad weather.
